Q: Do we need to use the charcoal filters?
A: The charcoal filters out volatile organic compounds (VOCs), things like pesticides and solvents. Apart from removing these nasty chemicals the charcoal filtration also makes the water taste better.
Q: How much does distillation cost?
A: 7-9p a litre.
Q: How long does it take to distil?
A: Usually 5-6 hours for 4 litres of water.
Q: Whats the pH of Distilled Water?
A: Pure water has a PH of 7, once exposed to air it can reduce to around 5, boiling can then raise it to 9, testing it can give pH ranges of 5-9. If you Google 'distilled water' you'll find a lot of negative things said about it. However, we want to promote the many different types of options for drinking water, so please read the following before judging Distilled Water.
Q: Are there any detox symptoms?
A: It's important that you do not confuse these with the idea that the distilled water is making you ill. When you read the different doctors describe how distilled water melts garbage inside of you, make sure you understand that this translates into real world events. As in, garbage will start to pour out of you! It has to come out! So this means, you will have detox symptoms. Everybody is different as to how they detox, where they detox, and what they detox.
It all depends on what you have ingested and inhaled your whole life and what routes your body chooses to eject the garbage. It could be... Rashes, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Headaches, Flu-like symptoms, Nausea, Heavy sweating, Pimples, Bad breath, Body odour. These are all GOOD things, the garbage is leaving. Know that is only temporary. You can dial in the speed too. If it's too much detox for you, back off. Then come back to it again when you feel stronger.
