How should I begin this guide? Let’s start with the stark reality: heavy metal toxicity is a silent epidemic, fuelling chronic illness and cognitive decline across the globe, truly a pandemic in its own right. Unfortunately, conventional medicine often overlooks or deliberately sidesteps this pressing issue. This is how I intend to open my guide. I’m inspired, as always, to write this because Georgia has been receiving countless phone calls and emails from people desperate to know how to detox from these toxins. I know it's big, often the question simply is... "Hey how much Zeolite to detox from heavy metals" On instagram this question is popular too. So when thinking of the latest Guide and talking to Georgia, it was decided, How to Detox from Heavy Metals.

We’re constantly exposed to heavy metals—mercury, lead, aluminium—hidden in our water, food, air, and even everyday products. These toxic invaders don’t just sit idly in the body; they wreak havoc on our brain, nervous system, and energy levels. But here’s the good news is we can get rid of them naturally. I know the Ancient Purity Blog could be a whole blog of doom and gloom for health and the things we are exposed to out there. Perhaps I could say it's also as important what you don't eat, but I'll cover that later. Here's my break down of supportive foods to the program. At the end of the article I will go into a program of how to use these foods and combine with what to make use of their incredible abilities.

Coriander: Surprised I put this first? well yes but as a food it has a powerful ability to support detoxification, particularly the removal of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminium, and arsenic from the body. Unlike many detoxifying agents that work in the digestive tract, coriander is unique in its ability to mobilise heavy metals from deep tissues, bones, and even the brain, making it one of the most effective natural detoxifiers available. The compounds that make it work are... Thiols (Sulphur-containing compounds) these molecules bind with heavy metals, helping to pull them out of tissues for excretion. Flavonoids (Quercetin, Kaempferol, Rutin, and Apigenin) Powerful antioxidants that protect against cellular damage and inflammation caused by metal toxicity. Water is big in this program, I will cover the supportive teas at the end. Now I will always be clear, my day to day water I drink is Gravity Filtered, then Structured. Distilled Water & Heavy Metal Detoxification

Water is the essence of life, the foundation of our being, and yet, the water we consume daily may be harbouring toxins that hinder our health. Years ago I was heavily into the work of Andrew Norton Webber. He seems to have long since vanished but his research on drinking Distilled Water was incredible. I followed and got very into the whole thing way back and I still believe this is one of the most powerful practices. Drinking Distilled Water, the purest form of H₂O, is a powerful solvent capable of removing heavy metals and accumulated inorganic waste from the body. Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and aluminium accumulate in the body over time, often stored in the brain, bones, and fatty tissues. The use of Supplements is essential, you have to use them to make this happen. Now the reason being is, yes supplements although natural ingredients inside were not created by nature they are man made. But then was heavy metal exposure happening to our ancestors as they lived on the natural lands. Of course not so we have a modern solution to a modern problem. I'll list only the very best and supplements here, if you are shocked not to see certain ones it doesn't mean I don't think they work, it just means I've seen the best consistent results with the ones I've listed. NAC, Glutathione, R - Lipoic Acid

I've decided to put these 3 together as each of these compounds plays a unique role in detoxification, and there is ongoing debate among experts about whether NAC alone is sufficient to boost glutathione production or if direct Glutathione supplementation is necessary. Additionally, R-Lipoic Acid offers unique benefits in heavy metal chelation and glutathione recycling.

NAC is a powerful antioxidant and glutathione precursor that has been widely studied for its ability to support detoxification pathways. It provides cysteine, the rate-limiting amino acid in glutathione synthesis. It enhances the body's natural production of glutathione, which binds to heavy metals for excretion. This process is known as chelation, and it ensures that toxic metals are removed without being reabsorbed. In my own experience, using Fulvic Acid alongside other detoxification practices (such as sauna therapy and clean hydration) has noticeably reduced symptoms of heavy metal exposure, like brain fog, fatigue, and sluggish digestion. Folate helps convert homocysteine into useful compounds, reducing the toxic effects of heavy metals.

Milk Thistle

Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for liver health and detoxification. This potent herb is renowned for its active compound, silymarin, which offers powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifying properties. Milk Thistle supports heavy metal detoxification through multiple mechanisms. Firstly liver protection and regeneration, it is the primary organ responsible for filtering and eliminating toxins, including heavy metals. Silymarin in Milk Thistle protects liver cells (hepatocytes) from damage caused by heavy metals by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation. It promotes the regeneration of liver tissue, which is crucial for long-term detoxification and overall liver health. Milk Thistle increases glutathione levels, improving the liver’s ability to bind, break down, and excrete heavy metals. Then there is the bile stimulation effect for toxin removal. The liver excretes heavy metals through bile, which is then eliminated via the digestive system. Milk Thistle promotes bile production and flow, ensuring that toxins bound in the liver are efficiently excreted rather than reabsorbed. Heavy metals also burden the kidneys, which help filter toxins from the bloodstream. Zinc

A is a crucial mineral for detoxification, playing a key role in displacing harmful metals from the body. Many toxic metals compete with essential minerals for receptor sites, and when mineral levels are low, these metals can take their place, leading to toxicity. Ensuring adequate Zinc intake helps prevent this, particularly by aiding in the removal of cadmium, a highly carcinogenic metal responsible for more cases of cancer than any other heavy metal.

Silica

The Living Silica we have specifically is not part of the protocol because of space but it can be used anytime when not on the program for aluminium detox. I have a whole article on it to read. Bentonite Clay & Psyllium Husk

Bentonite Clay binds to heavy metals and other impurities in the digestive tract, preventing them from being absorbed into the bloodstream. The clay’s ability to absorb harmful substances supports digestive function and encourages beneficial gut flora. I can say Zeolite is better specifically for heavy metals but the way they work is slightly different and I personally think just go full on clear out and use both. Also a Bentonite clay bath or mask can help draw toxins through the skin. Have the bath, get out dry off and head straight to the sauna to be sure.

Psyllium Husk should be used with BC to get the ultimate result, it helps cleanse the colon, which is crucial for flushing out toxins that have been bound by Bentonite Clay. As a bulk-forming laxative, Psyllium Husk helps prevent constipation and promotes regular bowel movements. Both substances absorb water, so drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. I will cover them in the Guide at the end but we have a whole article on using them together in the Detox section.

Magnesium

Magnesium plays a crucial but often overlooked role in the detoxification of heavy metals, I also never ever cease to be amazed at the endless abilities of Magnesium. It's one of the flagship original products of Ancient Purity and I'm still discovering why. It competes with heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and mercury for absorption in the body. When Magnesium levels are sufficient, the body is less likely to absorb these toxic metals, reducing their accumulation in tissues and organs. Studies show that low magnesium levels increase susceptibility to heavy metal toxicity, as the body absorbs toxic metals in place of Magnesium. That to me is mind blowing info, I would probably put this equal top with Zeolite but both are very different. Magnesium has also been found to reduce lead retention in bones and support its excretion through urine. It is also essential for glutathione synthesis, ensuring efficient metal chelation and removal. I've covered a lot on the Glutathione production Magnesium supports it, you still need it even if you are doing the NAC. My suggestions at the end of course. Magnesium-dependent enzymes help convert heavy metals into water-soluble compounds, making them easier to excrete through urine and bile.

Studies show that magnesium supplementation improves liver function in individuals exposed to heavy metals. Many heavy metals, including lead and cadmium, accumulate in bones, brain tissue, and kidneys. Magnesium prevents these toxic metals from embedding into tissues by competing for binding sites. It helps regulate calcium metabolism, reducing lead and cadmium deposits in bones. Also a magnesium-rich diet has been shown to reduce bone lead levels in animal studies. Magnesium oil spray is considered the best for heavy metal detox due to its superior absorption and ability to bypass the digestive system. Again I'm not saying this because we sell Magnesium Oil Spray, we sell it because it's the best choice. It enters the bloodstream directly, avoiding digestive issues and provides a rapid and effective way to increase intracellular magnesium levels, essential for detoxification.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) plays a crucial role in neutralising heavy metals, supporting liver detoxification, and reducing oxidative damage. This powerful antioxidant is not only essential for immune function but also serves as a key agent in binding and eliminating toxic metals. Vitamin C directly binds to metals, reducing their toxicity and facilitating their elimination via urine and bile. Studies show that Vitamin C can reduce lead levels in the blood, particularly in individuals with occupational exposure. It forms complexes with metal ions, preventing them from depositing in tissues such as the brain, liver, and kidneys. Heavy metals generate oxidative stress, leading to inflammation, mitochondrial damage, and premature ageing. Vitamin C is a potent free radical scavenger, neutralising these harmful molecules before they can damage cells. Mercury and lead trigger oxidative stress, causing DNA and protein damage. Vitamin C reduces this impact by donating electrons to stabilise free radicals. It protects brain cells from neurotoxicity induced by heavy metal exposure, reducing the risk of cognitive decline and neurodegenerative conditions. The liver is the primary organ for detoxifying heavy metals. Vitamin C supports phase I and phase II liver detoxification, allowing metals to be transformed into water-soluble compounds for excretion. Phase I detox relies on Vitamin C to neutralise toxins before they enter phase II. Phase II detox (conjugation phase) involves glutathione, which is maintained by Vitamin C. It also stimulates bile production, aiding in the removal of heavy metals through the digestive system. Vitamin C competes with heavy metals for absorption in the intestines, reducing their uptake into the bloodstream. High-dose Vitamin C has been shown to lower intestinal absorption of lead, cadmium, and mercury. It promotes the excretion of toxic metals through the stool by enhancing peristalsis (bowel movements).

A 1999 study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that lead-exposed workers who took Vitamin C had significantly lower blood lead levels than those who did not. Research from the University of Maryland Medical Center suggests that Vitamin C supplementation reduces the neurotoxic effects of mercury exposure. Studies in cadmium toxicity indicate that Vitamin C supplementation can reduce metal accumulation in organs and mitigate oxidative stress damage. As I put all of the info together and re-read and re-read again I still think wow, wow is Vitamin C amazing, Magnesium, these products we've had since the start, age old. As all the new fancy supplement mixes and latest daily blend morning mix rubbish turns up. These supplements around at the dawn of supplements are still the best. Those studies I listed underscore the importance of Vitamin C as an essential nutrient in metal detoxification. Most people are not thinking Vitamin C for detox, but you should, it must be part of the protocol.

Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occurring, silica-rich powder derived from fossilised algae known as diatoms. These microscopic organisms left behind a porous, mineral-dense substance that, when consumed, offers powerful detoxification. The unique structure of DE gives it a high surface area with a negative charge, allowing it to attract and bind to positively charged toxins like mercury, lead, and aluminium. It moves through the digestive system like a soft scrub, helping to trap and eliminate heavy metals, parasites, and other toxins through the intestines. By removing toxins at the gut level, DE reduces the burden on the liver and kidneys, the body’s primary detox organs. Silica is essential for cell regeneration, collagen production, and overall detoxification. Many people are deficient in this crucial mineral, and DE is a rich natural source. Studies suggest that silica-rich compounds aid in toxin elimination. You may be interested to know of the bat that Exercise out performs saunas for Heavy Metal Detox. A study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health set out to determine whether dynamic exercise or passive sauna use is more effective in eliminating heavy metals from the body. Researchers examined 12 healthy young university students, 6 men and 6 women, measuring the levels of toxic metals expelled through sweat under different conditions. The participants engaged in strenuous exercise on a treadmill and, on a separate day, spent time sitting in a sauna cabinet. This approach allowed for a direct comparison between active sweating through physical exertion and passive sweating in a heated environment, particularly in relation to eliminating harmful metals such as nickel, lead, copper, arsenic, and mercury.

The results were compelling. During exercise, the concentrations of nickel, lead, copper, and arsenic in sweat were significantly higher compared to levels recorded during sauna use. The only exception was mercury, which showed similar excretion levels regardless of the sweating method. These findings suggest that active sweating through exercise is more effective at expelling toxic metals than passive sweating in a sauna. One of the most striking results was the considerable increase in lead excretion during exercise. Lead is a particularly dangerous heavy metal, accumulating in the body over time and contributing to serious health issues, including kidney damage and neurological disorders. By effectively removing lead through sweat during physical activity, individuals can significantly reduce their toxic burden and protect vital organs. Copper and arsenic levels also increased substantially in sweat during exercise. While copper is an essential nutrient in small amounts, excessive levels can be toxic, leading to liver and kidney damage. Similarly, arsenic exposure is linked to serious health problems, such as skin lesions, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Nickel, though required in trace amounts for certain biological functions, can cause allergic reactions and has been associated with respiratory issues and cancer when present in high concentrations. The study indicates that engaging in physical exercise is a powerful way to help the body expel these toxic metals.

The reason behind this enhanced detoxification process lies in how the body responds to heat and exercise. Engaging in vigorous physical activity or exposing the body to high temperatures raises internal temperature, stimulating sweat production. This response serves a dual function: cooling the body and expelling toxins. Sweat is not merely water; it contains a range of dissolved substances, including heavy metals like lead, cadmium, copper, arsenic, and nickel. Increased blood circulation during exercise allows for more efficient transportation of these toxins to the sweat glands, making exercise a more effective detoxification method than passive sauna use. Individual differences, such as gender and baseline metal levels, can influence the effectiveness of sweating as a detox method. However, the study clearly shows that, overall, dynamic exercise leads to greater heavy metal elimination than passive sweating in a sauna. Also you could consider using a high-quality, low-EMF infrared sauna, I may add more on this later

Coffee Enemas

Used for decades, most notably in holistic therapies and detoxification protocols such as the Gerson Therapy. The practice involves introducing organic coffee into the bowel via an enema, where it is absorbed through the intestinal wall and directed to the liver via the portal vein. Coffee contains cafestol and kahweol, compounds that help boost glutathione-S-transferase (GST), a powerful enzyme responsible for binding and excreting heavy metals like mercury, lead, and arsenic. The caffeine in coffee stimulates the liver and gallbladder, increasing bile production and flushing out toxins, including heavy metals, more effectively. Coffee enemas help eliminate waste build-up and toxic bile, preventing reabsorption of heavy metals and other toxins. By promoting antioxidant activity, coffee enemas can protect cells from the damage caused by heavy metal accumulation. Use organic, mould-free coffee brewed with distilled or purified water. Allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature (around body temperature). Use an enema kit to introduce the liquid and retain it for 10–15 minutes before releasing. Stay well-hydrated and consider replenishing electrolytes post-enema.

Mercury Filling Removal

For decades, mercury amalgam fillings have been widely used in dentistry, yet increasing evidence suggests they pose a significant risk to health. Mercury is a highly toxic heavy metal, and when present in the body even in small amounts, it can contribute to neurological disorders, immune dysfunction, and chronic health issues. If you have mercury fillings, you may consider having them removed. The amalgam fillings are actually composed of 50% mercury, combined with other metals such as silver, tin, and copper. Despite being used in dentistry for over a century, mercury is a well-documented neurotoxin with no safe level of exposure.

Over time, mercury vapour is released from fillings due to: Chewing and grinding, Drinking hot liquids, Brushing teeth, Clenching or grinding teeth (bruxism) and just plain ageing and corrosion of the filling. These vapours are easily inhaled and absorbed into the bloodstream, where mercury accumulates in tissues, particularly in the brain, kidneys, liver, and nervous system. You're reading this article because you know how bad heavy metals are so there's no need to point out the harm of these fillings or the benefits of having them removed. Proper removal is essential—this is not something you should rush into without careful planning. It must be done by a biological or holistic dentist who follows the SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) protocol. Once your fillings are removed, detoxification is necessary to eliminate stored mercury from your tissues. The body requires key nutrients and chelators to bind and remove mercury safely. Luckily you are reading this Guide all about it, so if you have them removed follow this Guide during the process.

Grounding

Grounding / Earthing helps to neutralise free radicals, reduce inflammation, and support detoxification. By balancing electrical charge, grounding may restore energy production and detox capacity. I will talk more on this later but it could be that heavy metals in the body act as "antennae" for electromagnetic fields (EMFs), exacerbating their harmful effects. Grounding may help discharge accumulated electrical stress. Walk barefoot for at least 30 minutes daily on grass, soil, sand, or natural rock in the UK. In the USA use grounding mats or sheets unless very rural.

Deep Breathing

Deep breathing not only supplies oxygen to every cell in the body but also supports the removal of toxins, including heavy metals. By engaging in proper breathing techniques, you can enhance your body's ability to eliminate waste. It ensures that the body's tissues receive ample oxygen, improving cellular detox processes. The lungs are a major detoxification organ, expelling carbon dioxide, a byproduct of metabolism. Proper exhalation eliminates volatile toxins and helps maintain pH balance. Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system has no pump and relies on movement and breath to function. Deep diaphragmatic breathing stimulates lymph flow, aiding in the removal of heavy metals and other waste. Proper breathing oxygenates the blood and reduces acidity, creating a less favourable environment for toxic metal accumulation. I'll add a technique into the Visualisation section shortly before the Program.

Fasting

Fasting triggers a range of biological processes that promote the removal of toxins, including heavy metals. These mechanisms include: Autophagy a cellular process in which the body breaks down and recycles damaged cells, including those affected by heavy metals. Fasting induces autophagy, allowing the body to clear out toxic compounds and repair itself. Many heavy metals are stored in fat tissue to reduce their immediate toxicity. During fasting, the body burns fat for energy, leading to the release of stored heavy metals into the bloodstream, where they can be eliminated. The liver plays a key role in detoxification, using enzymes and antioxidants to process toxins for excretion. Fasting reduces the digestive load, allowing the liver and kidneys to focus on eliminating heavy metals through bile and urine. Heavy metals generate free radicals, causing oxidative damage to cells. In this case of Fasting to remove Heavy Metals I'm going suggest later in the Protocol to do Distilled Water Fasting, I think it will enhance the body's ability to remove heavy metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic, and cadmium. How to do it later on.

Avoid

You can remove heavy metals and get your health in top shape, but most important is to massively limit your exposure to them. So finally before I give you the Program to remove them here is what to remove. I really want to stress here, relax, don't live in fear, your body is strong and is always detoxing naturally too. You can't live wondering around trying to duck and dodge the garbage in the air and the occasional person spraying themselves with anti-perspirant near you. It's not avoidable and you'll make yourself crazy trying to avoid it. Live your life, be happy, do your best to not expose yourself too much, do the detox every now and then. But don't keep this stuff in the house, expect you'll have a glass of tap water at a friends or the odd burst of an air-wick air freshener, it happens don't worry, you can take it. Do the Protocol and you are in the 1% elite club of clean people already, thats good enough.

New Build Homes & Furniture: I suggest avoiding new builds, be careful what furniture you but and if you paint use organic paint only. Of course older houses can be toxic too, get to know your house and change what you can. Plumbing systems, taps, and metal pipes contain lead, nickel, cadmium. The paint and wall finishes most likely will have titanium dioxide and lead residues. While lead-based paint is banned, some paints still contain traces of titanium dioxide, harmful if inhaled. The flooring and carpets will most likely have cadmium, arsenic and chromium. You'll expect to find them in vinyl flooring, synthetic carpets, wood treatments. Choose natural wood, stone, or toxin-free flooring. Electrical wiring and fixtures, lead and aluminium are in the cables, circuit boards, and metal fixtures. Some electrical components contain lead-based solder wiring, which can release toxic particles when damaged or overheated. Ensure good ventilation and avoid disturbing electrical systems. I'm so sorry to be the barer of bad news but expect aluminium, formaldehyde and VOCs. They're in MDF furniture, countertops, cabinets. Cheap MDF and laminate materials can off-gas toxins and contain aluminium or other heavy metals. Choose solid wood furniture and natural materials. Construction Materials (Heavy Metal Dust & VOCs): Concrete, drywall, insulation. The high levels of construction dust that contains heavy metals and VOCs from adhesives, sealants, and synthetic materials, may still remain. Improve indoor air quality with HEPA air filters and houseplants that absorb toxins. Air the house out, think clean air, detox your home. You'll find a whole Guide on this in the Blog.

Seafood: I love seafood and still eat it, I limit it and I'm always doing a yearly HM Detox based on what I'm sharing to you. The thing is seafood is virtually the only source of methylmercury, and while it offers numerous health benefits, excessive consumption can pose risks due to mercury accumulation. The type of seafood you consume plays a crucial role in your exposure levels. Swordfish typically range from 1 to 5 ppm, while tuna often contains 1 to 2 ppm. Smaller fish lower on the food chain, such as sardines and anchovies, contain significantly less mercury—around 1 to 10 parts per billion (ppb), which is nearly 1,000 times lower than the levels found in top predators. Wild salmon species like Coho and sockeye generally fall within the 10 to 100 ppb range—over a hundred times lower than high-mercury fish such as shark, tuna, and swordfish. If you eat seafood regularly, it’s essential to choose varieties known to have lower mercury levels to minimise potential health risks, don't eat it too much and consider this Guide as part of your life for next million years.

Pollution (Airborne Heavy Metals): If you live in a polluted city move. Avoid spending excessive time near factories, busy roads, or construction sites. Air pollution can contain lead, mercury, and cadmium, which can enter your lungs and bloodstream. Be in nature more, but if near these places don't wear a silly facemark, they're bad for you, I've been saying that a lot since 2020 you know.

Lead in Water & Old Paint: Lead is highly toxic, especially to children, I need say no more. Some houses in the UK still have lead pipes for their water supply, particularly those built before 1970. Lead was commonly used for plumbing until it was phased out due to health concerns. I'm not sure about are fellow descendants in the USA, each country in Europe, who knows so for everyone. Find the incoming water pipe: Check under the kitchen sink or where the mains water enters your home. Lead pipes are dull grey and turn shiny when scratched with a coin. Tap the pipe: Lead pipes sound soft and dull compared to copper or plastic pipes. Get them replaced, worth the investment in your health.

Aluminium Cookware & Food Packaging: Avoid cooking with aluminium foil, using aluminium pots/pans for acidic foods, and drinking from aluminium cans. Tinned food and sodas, aluminium exposure has been linked to neurological diseases. Use stainless steel, glass or ceramic cookware. Do your research find the best stuff.

Non-Organic Fruits & Vegetables: There are pesticides and heavy metals in soil, standard grown produce have high pesticide residues (e.g., strawberries, spinach, kale). Some pesticides contain lead and arsenic, and heavy metals can accumulate in soil. Only eat organic vegetables or grow yourself, which is obviously also organic.

Household Cleaning Products & Air Fresheners: Avoid chemical-based cleaners, aerosols, and artificially scented products. Many contain toxic compounds that accumulate in the body. Use a Diffuser and Essential Oils, organic cleaning products only. Throw the old stuff in the trash.

Make up: In the report "Heavy Metal Hazard: The Health Risks of Hidden Heavy Metals in Face Makeup," Environmental Defence tested 49 different face make up items, including 5 foundations, 4 concealers, 4 powders,5 blushes or bronzers, 7 mascaras, 2 eye liners, 14 eye shadows, and 8 lipsticks or glosses. The frightening results showed serious heavy metals in nearly every products. 96% contained lead, 90% contained beryllium, 61% contained thallium, 51% contained cadmium, 20% contained arsenic. Each one had an average of 2 of the 4 metals of worst offenders... arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. I could go on, but this Guide is a solution, you've read enough right. Swap to organic, clean make up.

Aerosol Sprays: Avoid antiperspirants, deodorants, hairsprays, sunscreens. They're all bad, find natural, organic alternatives.

Tampons: For women this is truly shocking but in a 2024 study, 16 different heavy metals such as lead and arsenic were found in tampons. Likely from agricultural or the manufacturing processes, these could be absorbed potentially through vaginal tissue. There are natural and organic alternatives, throw your old ones away.

Vapes / e-cigarettes: Surely you know not to touch these but it's still worth saying they contain heavy metals, which can be inhaled directly into the lungs. Studies have found toxic metals in both the vapour and the liquid, mainly due to the heating coils and other metal components inside the device. You'll find Lead, Cadmium, Nickel, Arsenic. If you own one bin it before continuing this Guide.

Other things: Finally avoid all these too, in the interest of space do look up for yourself how bad each is... All leave you at risk of consuming heavy metals. Fast Food, high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), Baby food, having an MRI, Vaxxines

EMFs Weaken Detoxification

I put this last as it's a multi faceted detox, totally limiting exposure to EMFs. When your body contains heavy metals, it becomes more susceptible to electromagnetic fields (EMFs), which can disrupt metabolism, overall functioning, and the body's natural detoxification processes. To support your body's ability to eliminate toxins and heavy metals, it is essential to identify and reduce EMF exposure in your environment. Doing so can significantly enhance overall health and detoxification efficiency. Your mitochondria, the energy-producing structures in your cells are particularly vulnerable to EMF exposure. In fact, EMFs act as a mitochondrial toxin, impairing their function. Professor Emeritus Martin Pall, a biochemist specialising in multiple chemical sensitivity and chronic fatigue syndrome, has published extensive research explaining how microwave radiation from mobile phones damages cells. Shockingly, regular EMF exposure may be more harmful at a cellular level than ionising radiation from X-rays. Ok so before I go into the Program this will be part of it so let me explain why. When it comes to detoxification the mind can serve as a powerful tool to support the body’s cleansing processes. Research in psychoneuroimmunology (the study of how thoughts and emotions influence the immune system) has shown that the brain has a direct impact on cellular processes, detoxification pathways, and overall resilience to toxins. The brain releases neurotransmitters and hormones based on mental states. When we focus on health and detoxification, we trigger biochemical changes that support these processes. Studies have shown that visualisation techniques can enhance immune function, accelerate tissue repair, and even influence blood chemistry.

Detoxification occurs most efficiently when the body is in a parasympathetic (relaxed) state, rather than the stressed fight-or-flight mode. Deep breathing, meditation, and guided imagery can shift the body into detox mode, improving liver, kidney, and lymphatic function. Placebo studies reveal that believing in the body’s ability to heal can result in measurable physiological improvements. If the mind can create healing effects with mere expectation, imagine the power of consciously directing mental energy toward detoxification. Detoxification is not about fear of contamination, instead I think it's about embracing our body’s innate power to cleanse, renew, and thrive. So the following is to be done during the Program.

See the Body as Pure & Strong

Begin by mentally affirming that your body is already strong, clean, and resilient. Rather than focusing on toxins as invaders, view your body as fully capable of eliminating waste naturally.

  • Picture your cells shining with vitality, free from contamination.
  • Imagine your organs functioning optimally, with the liver efficiently breaking down toxins and the kidneys flushing them out.
  • See your blood and lymph as pristine rivers, carrying away impurities and leaving behind clarity and health.

Bright White Light Cleansing

  • Close your eyes and imagine a bright-white light descending from above, entering the crown of your head.
  • Visualise this light flooding through your bloodstream, reaching every cell, dissolving and neutralising heavy metals.
  • Picture toxins as dark specks being drawn out, carried effortlessly to the liver, where they are neutralised, and then excreted safely.

Cellular Regeneration Imagery

  • Visualise old, burdened cells being replaced with fresh, pure, and healthy ones.
  • See your DNA repairing itself, unaffected by heavy metal toxicity.
  • Picture your neurons free of interference, allowing for clear thinking, sharp memory, and optimal cognition.

Affirmations for Detoxification & Purity

Words hold power. Speaking affirmations daily reprograms the subconscious mind and reinforces a state of health. I really suggest you write your own but I just thought this one now as an example.

“My body is strong, pure, and resilient, Every cell in my body is free from toxins and filled with light, My liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system function perfectly to remove all heavy metals, I release all toxins effortlessly, and my body remains clean and healthy. I trust my body’s natural intelligence to detoxify and heal itself".

Breathing for Detoxification

Start your day with 5-10 minutes of diaphragmatic breathing to oxygenate your body. Practice deep breathing while walking, stretching, or doing yoga. Just make sure you are taking deep breaths during the day, always, not only whilst on this Protocol. End the day with it too, now of course please go find some more in depth breathing exercises, why not even go to a Breathwork class, session. For now just start with something as simple as the following and you can always head to a breathing retreat later.

  • Place one hand on your belly and the other on your chest.
  • Inhale deeply through your nose, expanding your abdomen.
  • Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your belly contract.
  • Repeat for 5-10 minutes.

I'm writing this as a general Heavy Metal Detox Program, I don't know your age, sex, race, height, weight, health history, facility history, life style, exposure levels, location or mindset. So please by reading this you are agreeing this has not been tailored for you and you could seriously benefit from one on one Guidance. That said I still believe that the Protocol I present here is incredibly powerful and it shall yield results for all. If you have been referred to this Guide by myself of Georgia or anyone else, please don't message us with questions on it haha. The point of it is to help all, I will always come back here and update as I learn more and more hacks. This is the finished Guide right now and all the answers to your questions are in here, re-read and do any extra research yourself, you will find more things. You could also find yourself a practitioner, I made this as we get hundreds of questions a week on this subject and simply cannot get to them all. I want to help you, help us too, become the expert on your life and health, when you know what you want I hope you'll come get it from Ancient Purity. So let's cover exactly what to do, all the why to do's are back up. I hope you didn't skip to this.

Pre Start

Throw away as best you can everything you own from the Avoid list. Harder things like checking pipes or moving out of a polluted city can wait, just make them part of the plan but they won't affect your massive detox and life changing results. If you have Mercury Fillings, book yourself in them to be removed when you can. You can always repeat the Program again when you do it. But don't wait to start the Program. This Protocol should ideally be a month after the 2 week start, you're going to clear out your body as best you can. Ideally 2 sets of Fasting in the month. You may wish to do 2 months if you think you really need it, have dangerous levels of Heavy Metals. I must tell you consult with a medical practitioner before starting this Protocol. None of this is advice it's simply what I would do. You must not follow it without first checking with your Doctor. Anyway once thats all clear let's get started.

MSM Organic Sulphur

8g in the morning on empty stomach
8g in the evening on empty stomach
Duration: Take for 2 weeks, a 250g bag will last 2 weeks and a day at 16g daily across 2 doses.

NOTE: You don't have to do this, but people asked me what I would do. You can start with the Fast, or you can do the Intermittent Fast and start straight away on the Protocol. You will have an incredible Detox without the MSM and Fast. Trust in it, it works, but this is me, a person crazy into health and bio-hacking since 2008 and getting going before that. This is what I would do, so if you choose to do the MSM thats the guide above and now this is the Fast.

Fasting

Fasting will depend on your age, strength, psychical condition. If you have any medical issues. So the Fasting is optional, if you manage only Intermittent Fasting thats ok. Eat between 1pm and 7pm or noon to 6pm. This will give you 18 hours of Fasting benefits. If you can manage 1 meal a day simply eating at 5:30 or 6pm that would be awesome. If you Fast a day or more even better but don't worry the Program without the Fasting will still be incredible. So if you feel strong and able then follow this fast 3 days would be perfect, you could do a day then build up to 3 the following week. I note Dry Fasting is good but a subject for another time, thats for advanced Fasters. For now do this if going for a 3 Day Fast on Distilled Water. If you do this Protocol for a month you will Fast again at the start of week 3, so there are 2 Fasting periods in the Month. Doing 2 months you'll do 4 Fasts.

Pre Fast: Gradually reduce food intake over 3–5 days, focusing on whole, organic foods and include the foods that support detox. Totally avoid processed foods, caffeine, and alcohol. On the last day before starting the Fast, try the 1 meal a day. Always consult with your healthcare practitioner before starting a Fast.

Distilled Water Fast: Drink 2 - 4 litres per day as best you can, what feels comfortable and depending on if you're in a hot country or sweating through movement. Do try avoid strenuous activities to allow the body to focus on healing. Walking is best. If symptoms like headaches or fatigue arise, they may indicate detoxification effects. If you are concerned stop the Fast, if you have any unwanted reaction consult your healthcare practitioner. Drink the Distilled Water daily for 3 days. If you only manage 1 or 2 days that is ok, you've done great. Do the Deep Breathing Exercise and the Visualisation during the fast and during the Detox.

Ending the Fast: This may not sound typical but start with something light, Eggs and a little lean beef. A Small portion, if you're vegetarian include the eggs or vegan a small amount of rice and the Cruciferous Vegetables. Important is small gradual meals, whole organic food. This will lead you back into your diet.

NOTE: People often ask about utilising the supplements during the fast. You can but they are on going, this is just 1-3 days. I think just keep it simple, let everything out. The only ones you could include in the Fast is Zeolite and C60 Charcoal, as they are only removing. You can add a table spoon of Zeolite to one of your glasses of Distilled Water in the AM and before bed 4 Capsules of C60 Charcoal. You don't need to do these, would I, yeah I would and I could not, they'll do their job later too.

Coffee Enema:

This can be done during the Fast, I would suggest it be done that way but again, it's ok if you do it later in the Protocol, it will work fine like that, but if you're taking it easy doing this Fast for 3 days, laying down doing an Enema might be something to pass the time, rather than when you are eating, exercising, working etc. Here's how to do it, and do it in a bathroom.

Materials Needed

  • Enema kit (silicone enema bag or bucket with a tube and nozzle) We have these on the site.
  • Coffee beans (light or medium roast ) Organic, mould free.
  • Distilled Water. (If no access, cleanest filtered water possible.)
  • Coconut Oil for lubricant.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Boil 2-3 cups of Distilled Water in a pot.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of organic coffee.
  • Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Strain the coffee using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  • Allow to cool to a lukewarm temperature (around body temperature).

Set Up Your Enema Kit

  • Assemble the enema kit according to the instructions.
  • Pour the cooled coffee into the enema bag or bucket.
  • Clamp the tube before filling to prevent leaks.
  • Lubricate the nozzle for easier insertion.

Insert the Enema & Administer

  • Lay a towel on the floor near the toilet.
  • Lay on your right side or in a knee-chest position (on all fours).
  • Gently insert the nozzle about 2-3 inches into your rectum.
  • Release the clamp to allow the coffee to flow in slowly.
  • If you feel discomfort, pause and breathe deeply.

The Enema

Diet

Thats the Fasting and Enema part done. It's time to eat again. Along with your clean whole food diet make sure you add in the following. Eat Fresh Coriander Leaves 1/4 to 1/2 cup of fresh coriander daily, add to salads, or make a detox pesto. However I suggest just having them in the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, this will be easier to consume a bunch of it. Include some Pasture-Raised Eggs You don't need to eat them daily but include them in the week. Eat Grass-Fed Liver a couple of times a week at most, it's strong you don't need a lot. With the Garlic add it into the salads or even through into the smoothie I suggest. Bone Broth can be consumed daily during the program and Cruciferous Vegetables daily is very helpful.

Daily Drinks

I will cover the specific Smoothies and Exlirs later, here I am talking water but I want to note when I suggest the supplements many like Zeolite and Fulvic Acid will be added to water, so you would include those as part of your liquids. There is no limit to how much liquid you drink on this, don't worry about it too much, drink plenty and add the supplements in. You just don't need to be counting how much water / liquid you had.

Water: I suggest the Distilled Water for Fasting, you can do it every 2 weeks, for usual water choose Gravity Filtered Water, Structured Water like I do, but RO or any other decent Filtered Water you believe in will be fine. If Bottled Water, make sure it's a glass bottle. If you choose to drinking Hydrogen Water drink it on an empty stomach, ideally first thing in the morning and before bed for maximum detox benefits. I don't feel it's essential but yes it's helpful.

Teas: Drink whichever ones you like from this list, 1-3 cups is fine. Green Tea, Rooibos, Dandelion, Ginger. and or Nettle Tea. All will be supportive, it's 1-3 cups of one or 3 of these teas. No more than 3 cups. Example 2 cups of Ginger 1 cup of Green Tea, or 1 cup of Dandelion, 1 of Nettle and 1 of Green Tea.

Exercise & Sauna: Not to be done during the Fast. You should engage in at least 20 mins walking a day but a proper strenuous work out is best.

  • Engaging in high-intensity workouts, such as running, cycling, or high-intensity interval training (HIIT), daily or for at least up to 75 minutes per week can be highly effective for detoxifying heavy metals.
  • Use Saunas, each session to 20–30 minutes. Ensure you are well-hydrated before entering and replenish lost fluids with water and electrolytes afterwards to enhance your body’s ability to sweat efficiently.
  • Following a workout with a sauna session can further promote the excretion of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and nickel. Always prioritise rehydration and electrolyte replenishment after sweating sessions. If you don't have one or your gym doesn't, consider just for the month getting a pass to a gym that has one. Some may even give you a free trial month or discount.

Deep Breathing & Visualising: You will be doing these daily through the whole Protocol, the Breathing just always do it, adopt it into your life.

Grounding: Get yourself an Earthing Sheet, we have them at the site, sleep on it every night. If you want the more eco and natural way, although it is also natural. Go walk barefoot for at least 20 mins. If in the USA you will need to be very rural, ideally use a sheet in the US.

Supplement Program

So this is the real powerhouse of the Protocol, scroll back up to see why you are using each one. You don't need to do them all, But Zeolite, Magnesium, I will start by telling you how to do each supplement and how much, then what to do in the morning, then noon, evening and last thing at night. When I say in Water I always mean pure, filtered water. Also you'll notice no mention of Spirulina & Chlorella and Fulvic Acid, that is because they are in the HM Detox Smoothie, I'll list the ingredients below. Make it in a blender, ice is optional. Do not add anything to sweeten it.

HM Detox Smoothie
Spirulina & Chlorella - 5g
Milk Thistle Seed & Herb Powder - 2g
Coriander - 1 Big handful of leaves.
Fulvic Acid - 7 Drops.
Celtic Sea Salt - Small Pinch.
Black Pepper - Small Pinch.
Raw Egg (Optional) I add this as it thickens it, doesn't taste. If you do 2 HM Detox Smoothies a day only add the Raw Egg to one.

Here is the Supplement Program

Morning Waking - Empty Stomach
Zeolite Powder (<25 only): 4-5g 1 teaspoon in Water

After Shower / AM
Magnesium Oil Spray on body, let dry in. If you can't manage Spray I'll give alternate option of capsules in lunch time.

AM / Mid-Morning - Empty Stomach
Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie.
Vitamin C - If Liposomal 5ml / if Vitamin C Powder take 1-2g

Lunch time Supplements with Food or alone if Fasting to 1 meal a day
Boron - 1 Capsule
Zinc - 1 Tablet
NAC - 1 Capsule
Folate - 1 Capsule
R-Lipoic Acid - 300mg
Selenium - 1 Tablet
Magnesium Plus Guard - 3 Capsules (If not using Spray).

Late Afternoon - Empty Stomach
Zeolite - 4-5g 1 teaspoon in Water.
Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie.
Vitamin C 5ml or 1g.

Dinner time - with Food Supplements
NAC - 1 Capsule
Vitamin C - 1 gram

Late Evening
Magnesium Oil Spray - 10 Sprays.
Vitamin C - 5ml / 1 gram

Night / Before Sleep - Alternating Nights
Night 1 - C60 Charcoal - 4 Capsules.
Night 2 - Milk Thistle Seed & Herb Powder - 3 grams

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

The Protocol may cause detox reactions (sometimes called “Herxheimer reactions”) as toxins are mobilised and eliminated. If you can't stand the possible side effects please stop the protocol. If it is too much but you don't want to stop take a day off any time and just eat whole, organic foods and drink water. It won't reset the work but will give you a rest.Here are some potential side effects you might experience:

Headaches – Due to toxin mobilisation, dehydration, or electrolyte imbalance.
Fatigue & Brain Fog – As toxins move from storage sites, they may temporarily affect cognition.
Nausea & Digestive Upset – Zeolite, chlorella, and spirulina can cause bloating, gas, or loose stools.
Skin Reactions – Detoxing through the skin may cause mild rashes or breakouts.
Muscle Aches & Joint Pain – Toxins being processed can cause inflammation temporarily.
Dehydration – Zeolite, charcoal, and other binders can cause dehydration if not enough water is consumed.
Constipation – Zeolite and charcoal absorb toxins but may also slow bowel movements. You can add in the Bentonite Clay & Psyllium Husk if this occurs
Diarrhoea – Spirulina & Chlorella, and Vitamin C may have a laxative effect.
Sleep Disturbances: Increased Energy in the Evening – NAC and R-Lipoic Acid can be stimulating for some people.
Restlessness or Insomnia – Due to increased detoxification and liver activity. It will pass.
Temporary Worsening of Symptoms – As heavy metals exit tissues, they may temporarily worsen inflammation or neurological symptoms.
Heavy Metal Redistribution: Reabsorption of Toxins – If binders like zeolite and charcoal aren’t taken at the right times, toxins can recirculate.

How to Reduce Side Effects

Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water to support detox pathways.
Support Your Liver – Don't miss the Milk Thistle use.
Listen to Your Body – Reduce dosages if symptoms become overwhelming.
Take a day off any time and just eat whole, organic foods and drink water. It won't reset the work but will give you a rest.

Note on Bentonite Clay & Psyllium Husk - These could be used on week 3 instead of Spirulina & Chlorella. There just isn't enough space in the day to use them as well. I would suggest ideally follow the above program for 1 or hardcore 2 months. Then after that normal whole food, organic diet, correct drinks and then do the Bentonite Clay & Psyllium Husk Detox. The way to do it is all here.

Q: What if I miss a day? A: Don't worry just continue the next.
Q: What if I slip up and eat bad etc? A: No problem it hasn't reset the work, just continue again.
Q: What if I have detox side effects? A: Monitor yourself, if you feel consistently sick stop and take a break a day off it won't reset things.
Q: What are the most essential supplements? A: Zeolite, NAC, Milk Thistle, Magnesium, You may have the HM Smoothie without Fulvic Acid.
Q: What about Diatomaceous Earth? A: DE moves through the digestive system like a soft scrub, helping to trap and eliminate heavy metals, parasites, and other toxins through the intestines. It's powerful, you can use it after the detox or use it instead on Bentonite Clay on the second month, switch things around.
Q: Are there other ways to make it cheaper: A: Do the grounding on the earth, just exercise, no sauna, skip the Coffee Enema and just do a normal filtered water fast to save on a Water Distiller or buying Distilled Water.
Q: I want a simpler Protocol what's my option? A: Go to our Detox section, you'll find Guides on using Zeolite or others, they are very effective alone, this is simply for the hardcore Detox renegades, you can always start a simple one and come back and do this later.

How to Detox

Thats my Guide, I may come back here and refine it, add stuff, all the Guides are Living Articles, not static, I update them, so trust whatever year you are reading this, this is up to date. Natural health has been a constant education, and I love it, I don't intend to stop searching, for faster, easier detox programs and theres new information all the time. Detoxing isn’t just about removing what’s harmful; it’s about creating space for better health, sharper thinking, and deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.
